It is a with the greatest pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Betsy Cohen, Hands On Organizers, and profound appreciation and thanks for what she has done for me. I am one of those who is on the run, a busy attorney, and has a habit of accumulating stacks of my life, and then putting them in another room when company arrives, always justifying my conduct because I am so busy. I also file my life away - out of sight out of mind, and fill up unused rooms with stuff until the room is unusable. I kept clothes in previous sizes, and wouldn’t get rid of anything if it was of a good quality or a good color, always thinking it may come back into style. I do not seem to be self-motivated to get started on the clean-out process, and do not have the disciplined skills to know how to efficiently attack the problem. To be perfectly honest, I can find 100 things I would rather do, and convince myself I should do rather than attack my organizational nightmare.

Then Betsy Cohen came and spent two days with me to fix the problem. I had a 10-year accumulation of clothes and stuff. It may seem like an awkward experience to have someone come into your life and see the deferred maintenance. I was able to let go of my pride in about 10 minutes based on the process that Betsy presented. At first you resist throwing away anything. It only took me a short time to realize that Betsy’s process is to respect the difficulty of letting go, and work with your habits to make your systems of storage better, and eliminate what you no longer need..

We started with one area. If I wasn’t ready to let go, and didn’t know what to do with something, that went into one area.  It became easy to make the initial decision of (l) that has to go (2) I don’t know yet, and (3) I won’t get rid of that. At the end of two days, the three problem rooms in my life had been dealt with, were completely organized, cleaned out. It was truly liberating and I felt ecstatic.

Betsy Cohen now comes to help with me additional projects as they come up. Betsy was just here again, and this time we dealt with files, eliminating and organizing. We attacked drawers, cupboards, and Betsy completely helped me reorganize where I kept things.
